Fine bone china from occupied Japan made by Noritake. There are 8 places set and a HOSTESS serving set--with oval vegetable bowl, platter, round vegetable bowl and creamer and sugar. There is a rim chip repair in the round bowl. Six -- near perfect shape -of the place sets have seven pieces! 1 dinner plate 1 salad plate 1 soup bowl 1 bread butter plate.

The remaining two sets have all of the above minus two cups and one saucer. The majority of the pieces in this two set are also flawless, one saucer has a small rim chip repair, a salad plate has a tinier chip repair and one bowl has a minuscule chip in the back very hard to find. I do not find any noticeable gold wear or scratches. I will pack very well.
