70 Pc 9-11 NORITAKE M VTG Japan Fine China Dish Set Gold Bowl Cups Platter Plate

This set is vintage and was acquired from a beautiful estate in Portland. 70 pieces in all, 8 to 11 full place settings.

Oval Platter is Large and is 16 inches long by 11 & 7/8 inches wide. Dinner Plates are 9 & 3/4 inches in diameter. Medium plates are 7 & 5/8 inches in diameter.

Small plates are 6 & 3/16 inches in diameter. Saucers are 5 & 5/8 inches in diameter.

Cups are 3 & 5/8 inches in diameter and about 2 & 1/4 inches tall. Small Bowls are 5 & 3/16 inches in diameter. Sugar Bowl is 4 &1/2 inches across and about & 3 & 3/8 inches tall. Creamer is 5 & 7/16 inches from spout to handle and around 2 & 3/4 inches tall.

Large Round Serving Bowl with Lid is 8 & 1/2 inches in diameter. Oval Serving Bowl is 10 & 7/16 inches long from handle to handle and 7 & 3/4. This set is nearly an antique. I believe the standard for calling something antique is 100 years.

These are from approximately the 1930s. Letter "M as in "Morimura" within a shield below the word NORITAKE in capitals, and below, "Japan. These are from before World War II but after 1921. This is a beautiful set that would really compliment your family holiday meal. The only chips are very small and hardly noticeable as shown in pictures on 2 cups and 2 of the smallest plates.

Always recommended - dish washing before use as they have been sitting for a long time! They have been very lovingly used and are in very good condition!
